Pick your perfect watermelon - Dalmatian style
Nothing reminds me of summer more than a good and big slice of ripe and red watermelon. But the moment you decide to buy, choosing the one that is perfectly mature and firm is actually a guessing game!
Dalmatian style - picking the largest watermelon, shaking it and tapping on it. You repeat that process until you find the one that makes a super mature sound. Because you know exactly what mature watermelon sounds like… yeah, don't do that.
What you actually need to do?
All you have to do is look at the appearance of the "ring" on the watermelon, that is the part that touched the ground during its growth. That part on the watermelon is always brighter. If the "ring" is beige or yellowish, the watermelon is ripe. If it is light green or white, then the watermelon is not ripe.
Simple, isn't it? Now your only concern is how much weight you can take home or to the car from the plot!
