The Hollow Rock or the Biokovo Eye is situated on the top of Biokovo above Brela and is another in a row of natural phenomena. This is an “eye” that was carved by nature in the Biokovo rocks and, because it is so special, it causes awe and admiration, and not only in the locals. Through the rock one can see the entire Brela and the coastal area and it seems to each visitor as if the very mountain of Biokovo, by means of its eye, carefully monitors all the events at its foot and the surroundings.With a small group for company, you’ll set off from the city centre in the morning; it’s aprrox. an hour and a half drive to reach the mountain. Upon arrival, you’ll explore its rocky slopes, will trek via French road to a Bikovo eye and Pakline mountain hut, and admire the one-of-a-kind views. A small-group tour guarantees you an intimate way to explore. Round-trip transfer from central Split via private vehicle/van is provided.

Address: Trg Franje Tuđmana 1, Split GPS coordinates: 43.50826, 16.43557 This is our city-centre meeting point. Departure Time 7:30 AM. This activity will end right where it started. Transfer to your place of stay available on request.

What To Expect

Mount Biokovo, actually part of a mountain range, is the highest mountain in Dalmatia and the second highest in Croatia – it rises to 1,762 metres at its highest point. Of all the magical spots in Central Dalmatia, none is perhaps as majestic as mighty Biokovo, which towers above the coast and provides spectacular snow-capped views from the islands in winter months.
