Kozjak mountain is the first thing you’ll see if flying into Split. It is the long mountain that looms over the coast, a wall of rock that dominates the view on the drive from the airport (near Trogir) to Split. It is visible from every corner of Split on its north. Simply impossible to ignore. On a half-day tour of Kozjak Mountain, you’ll set off from the city centre in the morning; It’s approximately half an hour’s drive to reach the mountain.Upon arrival to a mountain base we will follow a rocky paths to a mountain home Putalj.This place offers coffee,drinks and food combined with best view on a Kaštela bay. See another side of Dalmatia when you go for a trek on Kozjak Mountain A small-group tour guarantees you an intimate way to explore. Round-trip transfer from central Split via private vehicle is provided.

Departure Time 8:30 AM. This activity will end right where it started. Transfer to your place of stay available on request.

What To Expect

Kozjak is a mountain with two entirely different faces. From the littoral side, it acts as a mighty rock barrier towering above the Bay of Kaštela, while on the inland side, it is a winding highland ending with a sharp edge sloping towards the sea. The very edge of this highland, of an average height of 600-700 m, accommodates the highest tops of Kozjak. Kozjak is mainly composed of karst — limestone rocks. It attracts mountaineers from Croatia and Europe. There are several alpine huts and many mountaineering paths on Kozjak.
